Look Good, Feel Better

Look Good…Feel Better is a free, national public service program dedicated to teaching female cancer patients beauty techniques to help restore their appearance and self-image during cancer treatment.

Each group session usually consists of 4-6 women and is led by a beauty professional. Through practical hands-on experience, the women learn a make-up program and are shown beauty tips about wigs and turbans. Women learn how to cope with the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment while socializing with other women. It is geared toward increasing self-esteem and instilling self-confidence.

Class meets on the Third Wednesday of every month, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

My aunt has cancer and went to one of these. I wish I lived in Michigan to be taken care of by this hospital!
